About Us
The 10+ Club

In 2009 we hosted our First Annual 10+ Club Banquet for those employees that have served Franke Tobey Jones for 10 or more years. It was an incredible, joyous evening of camaraderie, celebrating and stories.
- The 10+ Club has 30 members serving 10 through 34 years of service
- The group represents about 20% of FTJ total staff
- Five members have 25 or more years of service (Silver Star Recipients)
- All of the groups years of service combined equals 487 years
- All of the groups hours of service combined equals 1,102,960 hours
During the evening, many 10+ Club members expressed what they liked best about working at Franke Tobey Jones and what their greatest moment was:
- The feeling that I’m making a difference everyday in the lives of the residents. Victoria
- The family like atmosphere. Everyone is so caring, residents and co-workers alike. Heidi
- Knowing I’m making a difference in the lives of the residents and the friendly staff. Linda
- I am actually paid to work out and socialize every day. Serena
- The residents and my co-workers. The way we get treated with respect and because it is just a really nice place to work!!! Inge
- I feel very blessed to be working here. I felt especially blessed when my daughter, Alyssa, started working PT in dining. I am also thankful for the scholarship committee for giving Alyssa a scholarship grant in order for her to continue her education. Isabel
- I always feel good, at ease, at home working with a team of high level, high caliber health care professionals and am ever so proud of you all, the FTJ Team. Christy
- I like working with the people and have seen many come and go. I especially like some of my co-workers. Johnnie
- The residents and emphasis on giving them quality care. Support and care I received during my illness. Betsy
- Residents and co-workers. I’ve made a lot of friends at FTJ. Pauline
- The residents in the Health Care Center; their sense of humor, patience & grace in some very hard times in their lives. Pat
- The residents. My rewards are overflowing when I rehab with a resident that thinks maybe they won’t get back to their home or apt, and we work hard to restore what they thought they wouldn’t get back. Sharon
- The pleasant surroundings including the wonderful residents, co-workers and a beautiful campus. Amanda
One of my greatest moments at FTJ!
- Seeing the tears in a resident’s eyes the moment we landed in his country. He said he thought he’d never see it again, and he thanked me for helping make it happen. It was a magical moment. Victoria
- Having the opportunity to work alongside of my grandmother and be able to attend her 25 years of service celebration at FTJ. Heidi
- My 20th Anniversary at FTJ. Linda
- The day the Wellness Center opened and I was handed the key. Serena
- Winning a trip to San Francisco. Inge
- By working at FTJ, I have learned a lot. I have met all kinds of people from different walks of life, from residents and their families to co-workers and other staff. These people have truly changed my life. Isabel
- The many countless times we hear from the folks we serve & care, kind, pleasant words of appreciation from the things we do which reminds me of what I often hear from my husband that “Every bit of kindness done makes life nicer for someone”. That’s exactly how I feel for every bit of ‘reaching out’, every bit of care I share with all. Christy
- Receiving the Silver Star Service Award just this year. Johnnie
- The moments during my career when I have realized that there is a special bond between a resident and myself, and that I make a difference in their lives. Betsy
- I was working at FTJ for a few months when my babysitter got sick. I was told to bring my daughter to work, and she was cared for with coloring books, crayons and even a bed was made up when she got tired. A resident came and played with my daughter and later brought her a gorgeous dress she has made that fit perfectly. Pauline
- Winning the trip on the dinner train at the Christmas Party, first thing I ever won! Pat
- When I started in 1982 the nurses’ station was where the PT room is now and a resident was right across the hall. One day the phone was ringing. The resident came out of her room and answered the phone talking to the doctor. The resident was an 80+ year old and a retired RN. Sharon
- In 2003, a surprise wedding reception was held in the TJ building for me and my husband. People from all departments came to celebrate with us with great food, gifts and a money tree. The money grew throughout the reception. I realized at that moment, I am not surrounded by co-workers but with family. Amanda
