Poets of the Pacific Northwest, Session 1

In this 2-class series (October 14 & 28) presented by Tacoma’s Poet Laurette Abby E. Murray, we’ll explore the Puget Sound’s resident poet population, beginning with a brief history of the Pacific Northwest’s influence on the literary arts. We’ll look at the institutions, publishing houses, and community organizations that thrive in our neck of the woods, inspired as they are by the natural and historical beauty that surrounds us. And of course, in each session, we’ll spend time discussing specific poems brought to you from the brilliant minds of regional poets, including past and present poet laureates, local editors, writers, and teachers.

11:00 am, Zoom Presentation
