Steve’s History Hour is Sure to Educate and Entertain
Most of you have heard of Steve Dunkelberger. Starting in January 2020, Steve will provide evening lectures at FTJ on local history on first Thursdays from 6—7 pm in the Lillian Pratt Parlor. This will be worth leaving the comfort of your home and coming out to see!
He has been a local journalist and historian for more than 20 years at various publications and associations around Washington’s Puget Sound region after graduating from Western Washington University, where he also received a BA in Journalism and a minor in Pacific Northwest History. He started his writing career locally by working a stint as a reporter, and then became editor of the Lakewood Journal. He was then the editor of the Business Examiner newspaper. Following that, he was the news writer/ online editor at Pierce County Community Newspaper Group and now writes of SouthSoundTalk.com, HistoryLink.org, Columbia Magazine, and historical associations around Pierce County.
