2023 – FTJ Missions Expands with Beacon and Lighthouse Senior Centers

In July 2023, the City of Tacoma approached Franke Tobey Jones to take over the operation of both the Beacon and Lighthouse Senior Centers in Tacoma. In a mutual agreement, Franke Tobey Jones started operating these two Senior Centers with great success.  Franke Tobey Jones has also been operating the Point Defiance ~ Ruston Senior Center since 1997.  This gives Franke Tobey Jones the ability to live their mission and serve even more seniors in the greater Tacoma area.

All three activity centers provide wellness programs, games, classes, nutrition and health screenings and lunches are provided Monday – Friday by Catholic Community Services.

The Mission of all three Senior Activity Centers:

To deliver quality services that promote growth and independence among older adults in Tacoma and surrounding communities. We pursue this mission with the belief that seniors are valuable members of the community who benefit from comprehensive educational, informational, cultural, civic and social programming.
