Building Services

Laundry Tech/Housekeeper (50/50) – Full time, 8am – 4:30pm Wednesday – Sunday or Saturday – Wednesday

Sign-On Bonus $1,500

Our Laundry Technician(s), working directly with the Housekeeping Supervisor, have a vital role in the smooth running of our facility, providing clean, sanitary and attractive linens and clothing for our residents.  These individuals follow and emulate the highest standards of excellence for the entire housekeeping team, which are reflected, every day, throughout our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans individual resident linens and clothing per approved schedule by picking up, sorting, marking and weighing articles; Operates washing/dryer/pressing equipment per approved guidelines for safety and sanitation; Sorts, folds, irons, bags, hangs each item; Delivers residents’ clothing and linens.
  • Cleans additional linens, including but not limited to rugs, cleaning rags, etc., following washing/drying/pressing operation instructions per approved guidelines for safety and sanitation.
  •  Coordinates outsourced linens and distribution of incoming deliveries.
  • Our Housekeepers, working directly with the Housekeeping Supervisor, have a vital role in the smooth running of our facility, providing the highest quality, sanitary and pleasant surroundings for our residents. These individuals follow and emulate the highest standards of excellence for the entire housekeeping team, which are reflected, every day, in the attractive, clean and maintained rooms, common areas and offices throughout our organization.
  • Cleans, dusts, wipes down individual resident/patient rooms and apartments per approved schedule and Duty List.  Cleans and empties trash containers, waste baskets, transporting waste to disposal area; replaces light bulbs as needed.
  • Cleans all bathrooms and restrooms daily; washes walls, baseboards, countertops, shelves, toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, scales; replenishes paper and personal hygiene products.
  • Changes bed and bath linens, cubicle curtains; on request makes beds between linen changes, turns mattress as needed.

Minimum Required Education:

  • Ability to read, understand and speak English fluently.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • At least 1 year housekeeping experience
  • At least 3 months experience working in a laundry facility
  • Prefer experience in continuing care facility for the elderly

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Ability to problem-solve.

Dining

Prep Cook – Full Time, 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday

Our Prep Cook, working directly with the Cooks, Chef Manager and Senior Director of Dining Services, has an important role in the smooth running of our food service area, contributing to a well-run kitchen. These individuals follow high standards of cleanliness and sanitation which are reflected in the meal service we and our residents enjoy every day.

Minimum Required Education:

  • Read English and effectively communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Minimum Required Experience:

  • At least 3 months’ experience as prep cook
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen and/or a senior living facility preferred

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Ability to problem- solve

Clinical Services

Central/Medical Supply Specialist – Full time Monday – Friday (30 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that supplies are ordered, received and delivered
  • Maintain the Central Supply area in a clean, organized, and functional condition
  • Inventory of all stocked items
  • Fill requests as needed
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient
  • Place orders and track requisitions
  • Unpack and deliver items to the requesting department
  • Must be able to multitask, be organized and efficient, report any issues or questions to the Director of Nursing and assist managing the supply budget

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum Required Education: 
    • High school diploma
    • Completion of a related certificate or degree program preferred

Minimum Required Experience: 

  • Two years experience in procurement, preferably in a health care setting including knowledge of budgeting

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and be attentive to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information

Our Nurses are critical to the efficient operation of our organization and provide valuable and necessary medical oversight and care of our residents. They detect and respond appropriately to the acute and long-term medical needs of our residents, while providing vital patient care services.

Our nurses are respected for their skills and compassion to:

  • Assess resident needs and makes recommendations based on changing needs; Interact with residents, family members, peers, physicians, pharmacists and other health care providers; Administer medications to residents per approved orders in appropriate, timely manner.
  • Administers treatment applications in appropriate, timely manner; treatments may include, but are not limited to: taking vital signs, collecting fluid samples, performing routine laboratory tests, dressing of wounds, etc.; Assemble and use such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, oxygen suppliers and feeding tubes.
  • Maintain resident records, which may include but are not limited to: problem list, Care Plan, flow sheets, log book, communication board; make notes of resident progress on medical record chart; make timely and appropriate recommendations to charge nurse and oncoming staff regarding changes in resident’s condition.

Requirements:  

  • Active nursing license, unencumbered.
  • Education appropriate for licensure.
  • Experience to include internships, NAC experience, specialty training, long-term care experience with the elderly.
  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
    Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities

Effective training skills:

  • Electronic medical record program experience (training provided on PCC).
  • Office Suite skills.
  • DSHS Dementia and Mental Health certificate.

Life Enrichment

Therapeutic Activities Assistant for Assisted Living and Memory Care – Wednesday through Sunday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Sign-On Bonus – $1,500

Our Activities Assistants provide a valuable service for our residents, which directly increases the quality of their retirement years. Working closely with other Activities personnel, the Assistant provides support during activity programs that will provide meaningful and rewarding pursuits to enhance the enjoyment of life for our residents.  This position prepares, posts, conducts and documents activities working with volunteers and staff. 

Job Requirements:

  • 1 year experience leading activities with an elderly population
  • Computer skills – Office Suite (word, excel, outlook)
  • WA State Driver’s license
  • Dementia and Mental Health training a real plus!

Wellness Instructor –Part time, 20 hours/week.  Typical start time 7AM, Monday-Friday, hours per day varies based on programming.

The Wellness Instructor for our organization provides a valuable service to all participants in the Wellness Program. This individual is responsible for conducting fitness classes as well as performing regular participant assessments.  Classes consist of a physical exercise portion as well as education in Wellness. The Wellness Instructor is the front line representative with the community Wellness Program. As such, this position is an integral part of the Wellness Program.

Minimum Required Education:  2 year degree in a related field OR certification (education towards these will be considered).

Preferred Education:  4 year degree in related field.

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years’ experience in the fitness field (education will be considered).

Preferred Experience:  1 plus years’ experience in a senior wellness program for those who are 55+.

Minimum Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and basic education in exercise physiology. 
  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members.
  • Able to handle a variety of tasks at once with a minimum of difficulty and distraction.
  • Unyielding, unalterable belief in the Wellness lifestyle and the power of fitness.
