Building Services

Maintenance Technician, Full time, Sunday – Thursday, 12:30-9:00PM

  • Performs general maintenance, repair, remodeling and construction duties utilizing working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling, and painting.
  • Performs work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, and alteration of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
  • Working with the building services team, the Maintenance Tech provides maintenance services that assure regulatory compliance and the smooth operation of building systems.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Preferred Education: Trade school or technical college graduate in related field plus additional courses in air conditioning, heaters, and boiler operation a definite plus.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 2 years’ general maintenance and/or ”handyman” work experience.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work with demonstrated knowledge and skill in plumbing, carpentry, electrical/mechanical systems.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to problem solve; ability to plan and direct for best use of company resources; and ability to demonstrate and teach various maintenance duties to other maintenance employees.
  • Requires effective communication skills required to communicate information verbally and in writing, understand and explain, in English.
  • MUST have a demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team member.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • A functional assessment (abbreviated physical exam) is required for this position.
  • Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Class IV Boiler Fireman Boiler License

Clinical Services

Certified Nursing Assistants, Full time, OnCall  – All shifts

(Available shifts — day, evening, NOC, weekends)

As an Aide with us, you’ll participate in resident care management, diet and nutrition, and documentation and record keeping using Point Click Care (FTJ provides training).

Requirements:  

  • Nursing Aide Certification, preferably with experience in a long-term care facility for the elderly
  • Active status on the Registry
  • DSHS Dementia and Mental Health certificate
  • Active First Aid and CPR
  • Demonstrated ability and skill for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
  • The ability to effectively organize and accomplish the myriad tasks of the position
  • A Functional Assessment (mini physical exam)

Preferred:

  • Electronic medical record skill (training on Point Click Care provided)
  • A High School diploma

On call nurses and aides are eligible for applicable shift differentials as well as our ‘On Call Bonus’ (paid based on number of shifts picked-up monthly).

NURSES, Full time, Evening and Day shifts; OnCall, All shifts

Our Nurses are critical to the efficient operation of our organization and provide valuable and necessary medical oversight and care of our residents. They detect and respond appropriately to the acute and long-term medical needs of our residents, while providing vital patient care services.   • Assess resident needs and makes recommendations based on changing needs; Interact with residents, family members, peers, physicians, pharmacists and other health care providers; Administer medications to residents per approved orders in appropriate, timely manner.
  • Administers treatment applications in appropriate, timely manner; treatments may include, but are not limited to: taking vital signs, collecting fluid samples, performing routine laboratory tests, dressing of wounds, etc.; Assemble and use such equipment as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, oxygen suppliers and feeding tubes.
  • Maintain resident records, which may include but are not limited to: problem list, Care Plan, flow sheets, log book, communication board; make notes of resident progress on medical record chart; make timely and appropriate recommendations to charge nurse and oncoming staff regarding changes in resident’s condition.

Requirements:  

  • Active nursing license, unencumbered
  • Education appropriate for licensure
  • Experience to include internships, NAC experience, specialty training, long-term care experience with the elderly
  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members

  • Effective training skills

NIGHT NURSE SUPERVISOR, Full time, NOC shift, Skilled Nursing

  • Oversees all Clinical Services departments personnel, processes and residents.

  • Maintains resident records, which may include but are not limited to: problem list, Care Plan, flow sheets, log book, communication board; makes notes of resident progress on medical record chart; makes timely and appropriate recommendations to charge nurse and oncoming staff regarding changes in resident’s condition

Dining Services

Cook, Full time, 10:30am – 7pm mostly, some 6am-2:30pm

Our Cooks, working directly with the Chef Manager and/or Senior Director of Dining Services, are pivotal to Dining Services and kitchen operations running smoothly. Great culinary skills and timing assure the highest quality, nutritious meals for our residents. This individual follows and emulates standards of excellence for the entire food service team, which are directly reflected in the eye-appealing, well-balanced meals and snacks served.

  • Prepares foods for all meals, banquets, refreshments, snacks, beverages and sack lunches for residents/patients, staff members and social events, meetings, etc., assuring that the highest standards of quality and sanitation are followed; Chops or dices vegetables and fruit, purees and grinds foods, grates cheese, slices meats and deli items, trims meats, defrosts food items, rinses and drains frozen foods; prepares food by various methods such as baking, broiling, steaming, etc.; Makes soups, salads, desserts, main courses per approved recipes, instructions, menus and restrictions (such as handling, temperature control, portion control)
  • Plates food items in an eye appealing and taste full manner for all items including mechanically altered foods
  • Disassembles, cleans and sanitizes steam line, stove and counter tops per approved guidelines; Freezes or refrigerates food and leftovers properly in appropriately labeled containers
  • Works as a lead and provides direction for staff including wait staff and dishwashers
  • Other duties as assigned which may include, but are not limited to:
    • Fills in for absent wait staff or dish staff as needed;
    • Picks up supplies, as needed, on-site and maintains supply list;
    •  Mops floor area as needed;
    • Assists with special events for residents/staff.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • At least 1 year food preparation experience in an industrial or restaurant food service capacity;
  • Must be able to read English and have effective communication skills;
  • Must Demonstrate the ability for high quality food preparation while interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members;
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well under deadline pressures;
  • Ability to problem solve, under pressure
  • State of Washington Food & Beverage Service Worker’s Permit

Dietary Aid, Full time, 10:30am – 7pm

Our Dietary Aids working directly with the Dining Room Supervisor, Chef Manager and/or Senior Director of Dining Services, have a vital role in the smooth running of our kitchen and dining rooms, providing the highest quality, nutritious meals for our residents/patients. These individuals emulate the highest standards of excellence, which are directly reflected in the courteous, prompt presentation of eye-appealing, well-balanced meals and snacks.

Requirements:

  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing good communication skills
  • High School diploma preferred, but not required
  • At least 1 year experience in food service, experience in nursing home food service preferred
  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to perform routine problem solving under moderate pressure
  • State of Washington Food & Beverage Service Worker’s Permit

Life Enrichment (Activities)

Therapeutic Activities Assistant, Full time, Wednesday – Sunday, 8:30am – 4pm

Working closely with other Activities personnel, the Assistant provides support and leadership during activity programs that will provide meaningful and rewarding pursuits to enhance the enjoyment of life for our residents.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
