The Pt. Defiance-Ruston Senior Center, operated by Franke Tobey Jones, a senior housing community in Tacoma, Washington, since 1998 is a community gathering place. Participants age 55 and older can join in fun events and activities, stay active and healthy, make new friends and share experiences with other seniors in the community.
The center is also a Catholic Community Services meal site, offering hot, nutritious meals Monday through Thursday for a suggested donation of $3. Lunch time at the center is a time of gathering together and camaraderie.
To deliver quality services that promote growth and independence among older adults in Tacoma and surrounding communities. We pursue this mission with the belief that seniors are valuable members of the community who benefit from comprehensive educational, informational, cultural, civic and social programming.

The Pt. Defiance-Ruston Senior Center is located at 4716 N. Baltimore Street, just a mile away from the Franke Tobey Jones campus. The center is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. October through April, the Center is also open on Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00 pm.
Meals are provided at noon Monday through Friday (plus Saturdays October through April) for a suggested donation of $3 weekdays/$5 Saturdays. Sign up by Thursday at 1:00pm for Friday meals, sign up by Friday at 1:00 for Saturday meals. Catholic Community Services provides the meals Monday through Thursday and Franke Tobey Jones provides the meals on Friday and Saturday.
