Senior Housing Residents Council
The purpose of the Residents Council at our senior living community is to promote the welfare and well-being of residents living at our senior housing in Tacoma, Washington. The board is made up of elected representatives of residents who discuss issues, ideas and recommendations with the management and members of the board. Board, management and residents work together to fulfill our mission of enriching and extending the quality of life for the seniors living in our community.
The Residents Council meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. virtually on Zoom. All residents are welcome to attend. Residents living at our senior housing are encouraged to contact their representatives on the board if they have concerns, they would like addressed at the meetings.
Minutes of the meetings are distributed to the participants and are posted in the building.

Residents Council appoints seniors living in our senior housing to serve on the food advisory committee, which meets on a regular basis with the Sr. Director of Dining Services, and the chef manager. They offer comments and suggestions regarding food service at Franke Tobey Jones.
Ad Hoc Committees
When appropriate, short-term groups are set up to address issues, projects, and make recommendations to our senior housing facility in Tacoma, Washington. For example, ad hoc groups have been formed to provide input toward the selection of a new van, to manage the employee scholarship program, and to discuss the amenities in the new and improved guest cottage.
