Tacoma Councilman, John Hines, Visits Senior Center

Thank you to Councilman John Hines who visited the Pt. Defiance~Ruston Senior Center in April.  He spoke about the opportunities that were available for seniors to participate on Boards and Committees.  Doing so would provide participants with the opportunity to be a part of Tacoma’s history and have a say in today’s government processes.  In addition, Councilman Hines discussed the budget process, how far in advance discussions began surrounding the budget.  Councilman Hines has agreed to visit the Senior Center on a regular basis, starting out at every four months.  The schedule will be published well in advance of his visit, providing you the time to schedule him in on your calendars!
