Casual for a Cause – Supporting Lifelong During Pride Month

Every month at Franke Tobey Jones, team members from across campus come together for Casual for a Cause—a grassroots fundraising effort that began in our Dining Department in 2010 and quickly became a beloved campus-wide tradition.
Every Friday, team members can dress casually (including wearing jeans) by donating $5 (or any amount they choose) to support a meaningful cause…local, national, or international. It’s a simple way to give back, but more importantly, they get to give back in meaningful, heartfelt ways.
This June, in honor of June Pride Month, we were proud to support Lifelong, a nonprofit dedicated to removing barriers to healthcare and housing for people living with chronic illnesses, including HIV. Their mission to uplift and care for marginalized communities beautifully aligns with our own mission to enrich lives and make every day meaningful.
And here’s something to celebrate, since its inception, Casual for a Cause has raised tens of thousands of dollars for organizations near and far. And beginning in 2020, our Philanthropy Department began matching employee donations, doubling the impact of every dollar given.
Thanks to all the team members who show up with generosity, compassion, and a willingness to make a difference—one casual Friday at a time. 💙
