FTJ Sponsors “Honoring Those Who Lift Us Up”

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its annual “Elevate: Honoring Those Who Lift Us Up” event on September 11, 2025 at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club. This inspiring luncheon brought together business leaders, elected officials, community partners and residents to celebrate the individuals and organizations whose work strengthens and uplifts the Lakewood community.

The event served a dual purpose: to recognize award recipients for their outstanding contributions and to mark the installation of the Chamber’s new board leadership. Guests were treated to heartfelt stories of service, leadership and dedication that underscored the importance of collaboration in building a thriving community.

This year’s honorees represented the very best of Lakewood’s spirit as people and businesses who go above and beyond to create opportunity, foster connection and inspire others. Their impact stretches across education, business, civic engagement and nonprofit service, leaving a lasting imprint on the community they serve.

Franke Tobey Jones, a not-for-profit senior living community in Tacoma’s North End, was proud to be among the event sponsors. With its century-long commitment to enriching the lives of seniors and its close ties to the South Sound region, Franke Tobey Jones shares the Chamber’s dedication to uplifting the community and celebrating those who make a difference.
