Feast & Fireworks

F&F Participants

The 2nd Annual Feast & Fireworks food drive for the Pt. Defiance ~ Ruston Senior Center was a great success! Thanks to the generous support of residents and staff alike not to mention eight resident volunteers who dedicated their time to assembling red, white, and blue care packages filled with hot dogs, buns, baked beans, condiments, and s’mores Philanthropy, was able to deliver 100 holiday meal bags.  Distribution at the Senior Center began on Wednesday, June 28th and was scheduled through Friday.  With much appreciation, Director Kate Gray commented, “When many of our participants are on their own for the holidays, this is especially meaningful.”  Upon receiving her Fourth of July meal bag, a member of the Strength and Balance class added, “Please tell everyone thank you.  It is so kind of the FTJ residents and staff to remember us.”
