Bar Stories Legacy Project brings storytelling to life, hosted by Jesi Vega on July 8, at 10:00 a.m. You are welcome to prepare a story or you can wait to be inspired and tell a story. It’s meant to be a conversation between the storytellers and the stories themselves.  Each story captures authentic, real-life moments—hilarious, dramatic, or touching—shared in a conversational style. After each tale, the audience engages in a brief Q&A. The only rule is kindness and respect.  As a bonus, every storyteller receives a free professional recording of their performance. Pull up a chair and share your story—it’s waiting to be told!

(note new time). Space is limited so sign up now!

Day Trips
The Senior Center is planning to offer day trips.  If you have suggestions of places you would like to go, please let either Kate or Lesley know.  Suggestions can range from a restaurant, casino, a Rainiers game, a train ride, or something else.  The plan is to offer one location a month from April through October.  The trips would have to be on Saturdays due to how busy FTJ’s lift coach schedule is during the week.

Social Groups
Many seniors spend time alone, and some of the worst times are in the evening and/or the weekend.  With that in mind, the Senior Center will start offering social groups three times a month starting in August.  The first group is called “The Breakfast Club” and starts on Saturday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m.  It will be hosted by Kate Gray.  The second group is the “Prime Time Hop” and starts on Thursday, August 7 at 3:30 p.m.  It will be hosted by Ron Yaden.  The third group is a “Dinner Club” and we are looking for a host.  If you are interested, please let Kate or Lesley know.  We do ask that you sign up for the groups you plan on attending so that restaurant reservations can be made.  You are still welcome to join in the fun at the last minute!  Meet at the location.  Each person is responsible for paying their own bill.

Keep in mind that some events have limited space and require a reservation.  Registration required is noted in these class descriptions.  Call the senior center to reserve or register the next time you’re here!
