Hidden Talents Shine

Team Artists

FTJ Team Members Display their Art on Campus

When it came time to refresh the artwork in the Lillian Pratt Administration Hall, FTJ resident and Art Committee Chair, Joy Drewfs, saw the perfect opportunity to spotlight the talents of our own team members. “This exhibit is full of wonderful pieces—mostly photographs, some paintings—and they are truly worth taking a look at,” says Joy. “It’s such a special way for residents to see another side of our staff.” On display you’ll find the creativity of Sarah Doerner (Wellness/Holistic Coordinator), Amy Petschke (Account), Nicole Mathura-Price (Philanthropy/Marketing Coordinator), and Linda Tonjann (Reception Supervisor), featuring stunning photographs, beadwork, basket weaving, and acrylic paintings. Every piece tells its own story and gives a glimpse into the passions and inspirations of the people who work alongside you each day. FTJ Team Members were equally enthusiastic to exhibit their art projects.

“I am so happy I was able to share this special moment with the residents. Each question, smile and connection reminded me that art is more than something we look at, it is something we experience together. Art bridges generations, it connects us in ways words sometimes can’t.”  Sarah Doerner

“Art is not just a practice for me; it’s an intrinsic part of my being, a constant ally on the journey of self-expression and exploration. It transcends the boundaries of the tangible, elevating the spirit of my creative journey.”  Nicole Mathura Price

“I surprise myself when I work on my art projects. I am in a different world and expand my ideas and way of thinking.”  Linda Tonjann

“I am really honored to have this opportunity to show the residents another side of me.  My job is detailed, and art projects are my stress relief.  What I love about making something is that I can express myself through a continuity of creativity and tradition.  Amy Petschke

Take a few minutes on your next visit to the LP Admin Hall to enjoy this colorful, personal exhibit—and perhaps discover something new about the talented staff who make FTJ such a special place to live and work.
