We’re thrilled that you’re interested in the Senior Center.  We look forward to seeing you soon!  Since 1998, the Pt. Defiance-Ruston Senior Center – operated by Franke Tobey Jones – has been the heart of the Tacoma senior community.  Whether you’re looking to break a sweat, share a meal, or find your new favorite hobby, our doors are open to everyone aged 55 and better.  Come on in and make some new friends…your life will be better for it!

Mission

To deliver quality services that promote growth and independence among older adults in Tacoma and surrounding communities. We pursue this mission with the belief that seniors are valuable members of the community who benefit from comprehensive educational, nutritional, informational, cultural, civic and social programming.

  • Enhance:  Design programs that enhance your quality of life and well-being.
