Best Sex Ever After Menopause

Bremerton’s 80-Year-Old Dr. Carol Remz Empowers Post-Menopausal Women to Reclaim Sexual Pleasure and Passion with her new book “Best Sex Ever After Menopause.”
Who says the best sex of your life can’t happen after 60, 70—or even 80? Dr. Carol Remz, an 80-year-old grandmother, breast cancer survivor, and unapologetic champion of senior sexuality, is rewriting the rules of passion with her book Best Sex Ever After Menopause. While perimenopause and menopause are increasingly discussed, the sexual health needs of post-menopausal women are often overlooked. On World Sexual Health Day, she’s bringing her bold, eye-opening message to Franke Tobey Jones Senior University—proving that pleasure doesn’t retire, and desire doesn’t come with an expiration date. Her engaging presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Books will be available at the presentation for purchase and signing.

Carol L. Remz, PhD Bio
Dr. Carol Remz is in her eighth decade of life, blessed to be a besotted grandmother, proud
mother, adoring mother-in-law, and cherished wife. Carol’s encore mission is to provide and promote empowering knowledge and skills for postmenopausal women who want to continue having sexual pleasure’s health and well-being benefits, universal sex positivity, and deeper intimacy and love.
Struggling with a diminishing libido issues after menopause in her mid-40s to early 50s, Carol began to believe that as a senior, sex didn’t matter, and lack of desire was an inevitable part of aging. Fortunately, this was not acceptable to her lusty, “I’ll do anything you want,” seven years-younger husband.
So, Carol went on a quest, seeking empowering knowledge and skills about sex and sexual pleasure’s benefits to our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Eight years of research about health, the brain, medicinal plants, partner communication, attitude adjustments, in the-flesh application, some intimacy coaching, and learning to be mindful, all came together in her book, “Best Sex Ever After Menopause.”
“Learning is what keeps us going.” This belief has been the foundation of Carol’s working career as a teacher and reading specialist. She earned her BS in 1966 and MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) in 1967 from Cornell University. She completed her formal education, earning her PhD in Educational Technology from Catholic University in 1977. For 30 years, her company GuideWare, Inc. designed and developed instructor-facilitated, video-based, and online training programs for Fortune 500 companies, federal and state agencies, private businesses, and international non-profits. Integral to every training program she developed were concrete ways to measure learning’s key goal: change for the better in what people do, achieve and feel.
