Memory and Respite Care For Your Loved One

Memory and Respite Care For Your Loved One

Would you like to take a day off from caring for your loved one, or even take a vacation?

If you’re a care giver of a parent or a family member with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia or with chronic needs you know that giving care 24/7 is exhausting. Our respite care program offers services for family members who simply need a break. We are licensed under the Boarding Home License, and our staff consists of a certified social worker, certified nursing assistants, certified activity director, activity aide and volunteers.

Franke Tobey Jones is now offering short-term respite care in our memory care community. You could choose to have your loved one stay with us for one night, or for as many nights as you need.

While at Franke Tobey Jones your loved one will be surrounded by loving, professional care givers, will have three chef-prepared meals a day, and will have the opportunity to engage in activities all while staying in our newly renovated memory care area that has the best view on campus!

For the Alzheimer’s caregiver, respite care provides:

  • Stress relief
  • Time to attend to personal needs, run errands
  • The ability to get away for a much needed vacation

For the person with Alzheimer’s, respite care offers:

  • A chance to get out of the house
  • A break from being with the caregiver
  • Interactions with other people
  • Stimulating activities

Respite care is also useful when the burden of care becomes greater and caregiver burnout is a strong risk. When the burden of 24/7 care completely overwhelms, respite care for your loved one might just be the thing you need. The cost would range from $170 to $261 per day depending if you choose a shared or private room and the size of the room.
