More than 30 of Franke Tobey Jones’ most dedicated supporters gathered on Thursday, August 13, for a special Major Donor Reception honoring those whose annual contributions of $1,000 or more help strengthen our mission. Current members of the Board of Directors joined fellow donors for an evening of appreciation, connection, and celebration. The reception provided an opportunity to recognize the generosity of individuals whose philanthropy enhances the lives of residents and supports the many programs and services that make Franke Tobey Jones such a vibrant community.

The event was beautifully orchestrated by Katie Baker, Philanthropy Coordinator, whose thoughtful planning helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests were greeted in the Wellness Center, which was transformed with classic rock-themed decorations and music that set the tone for a fun and memorable evening. From invitations and guest communications to décor and event logistics, Katie’s attention to detail ensured that every guest felt valued and appreciated.

During the reception, guests were introduced to Timm Dowling, the new Director of Philanthropy, by President and CEO Judy Dunn. Timm shared his enthusiasm for building relationships with donors and advancing the philanthropic mission of Franke Tobey Jones. Board Member and Fund Development Committee Chair James Pourde also addressed attendees, speaking about the profound impact charitable giving has on residents, staff, and the wider community. His message highlighted how donor support helps sustain programs, enrich resident experiences, and strengthen FTJ’s ability to serve others for generations to come.

Following the reception, guests enjoyed the Summer Concert Series featuring The Dusty Souls. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful summer evening, attendees gathered outdoors to enjoy great music, fellowship, and the spirit of community that defines Franke Tobey Jones. The concert series itself is made possible through the generosity of a dedicated major donor whose ongoing support helps bring exceptional musical entertainment and enriching experiences to residents and guests throughout the summer. This philanthropic investment enhances community life and creates meaningful opportunities for connection and celebration. The reception and concert offered a heartfelt reminder that philanthropy is about more than financial support.
