Why Gardening is So Good for Seniors
Gardening is more than a hobby—it’s a powerful way to support overall well-being. Studies show that gardening can:
- Boost physical health through gentle movement, improving strength, flexibility, and coordination
- Enhance mental wellness by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression
- Sharpen cognitive function through planning, learning, and problem-solving
- Foster social connection by bringing people together with shared interests
- Provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment as you nurture and watch your efforts bloom
Plus, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, gardening offers a chance to truly connect with the natural beauty that surrounds us.
