Meet new FTJ Philanthropy Director, Timm Dowling

Bringing People and Purpose Together
We are delighted to welcome Timm Dowling to the Franke Tobey Jones team!
Timm brings more than a decade of nonprofit development and fundraising experience, with expertise spanning major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, grants, special events, and donor communications. At the heart of his work, however, is something especially important to FTJ: relationships. Timm has a passion for getting to know people, understanding what matters to them, and building meaningful, long-term connections with donors and community partners.
A longtime advocate for the nonprofit community, Timm serves on the boards of Comprehensive Life Resources and the South Sound Planned Giving Council and has held a leadership role with Leave10 South Sound. These experiences have given him strong connections throughout the South Sound philanthropic community and a deep appreciation for the people whose generosity makes nonprofit missions possible.
“What excites me most about joining Franke Tobey Jones is the opportunity to connect with people who care deeply about this community and its mission. I’m looking forward to hearing their stories, building relationships, and helping people discover meaningful ways to make a difference.”
Timm is a graduate of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington Tacoma.
If you would like to meet Timm, please feel free to visit his office, which is in the A Level of the Garden Apartments. He would be happy to meet you!
We are excited to have Timm bring his experience, enthusiasm, and relationship-centered approach to FTJ. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
