Ladies’ Health – Menopause and Beyond

Thursday, September 3, 2:00pm

Dr. Marcy Meyer, MD and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, will come and offer education to women age 45-95.  Don’t think that you’re ‘well-past that time’ or that ‘it is what it is’.  Medical care for menopause and post-menopause has been changing drastically in the last few years.  Catch up and learn what help is available to you.

Tech Talk

2nd Monday of the month, starting September 14, 1pm

This new monthly group, Tech Talk, will be led by Ron Yaden.  Whether you are curious about Artificial intelligence, Quantum Computing, Artificial Superintelligence or simply have everyday computer questions, this discussion group is the place for you.  Ron will guide the discussion, but this group is all about community, so bring your own ideas, curiosity, and questions.

Theater Club

Wednesday, September 23, 9:00am 

This new Play Reading & Scriptwriting group will help you uncork your creativity!  Come and read various plays, bringing characters to life on the spot under direction from the director.  No memorization necessary!  If you’re working on a script, bring it!  The instructor will go over script formatting and the class can read through your creation.

History Talk

Wednesday, September 30, 1:00pm

Chris from Pretty Gritty Tacoma Tours will talk about ‘America’s Sherlock Holmes’.  Learn about Oscar Heinrich, who opened what is commonly recognized as the first forensic crime lab in the United States, right here in Tacoma in 1910!  Chris is a great storyteller, and you won’t want to miss this fun afternoon!
